Suzuki Harmony STL nurtures community, builds character, and fosters academic growth of youth in under-resourced neighborhoods of the St. Louis region by providing high-quality private music instruction.
Our Vision
Suzuki Harmony STL desires that all students have access to private music lessons and the indelible impact such experiences have on human character and musical aptitude. We envision families and the community working together to encourage musical and social progress.
What We Do
Suzuki Harmony STL believes that music activates both sides of the brain, increasing creative and analytical abilities. The Suzuki method, in particular, is a method of learning music that focuses on building character along with building musicianship.
The goal of the method is not to make prodigies, but to make beautiful human beings. Children learn qualities like discipline, tenacity, perseverance, and diligence when they learn a musical instrument. These are qualities that are easily transferable to life outside of an instrument.
